After major success from the original Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, Jordan brand decided it was best to re-release the shoe.
The 2019 model of the Shattered Backboard features a crinkled glossy/patent leather. The toebox has a Starfish orange color, followed by the Sail/Off-White rubber.
The colorway is inspired Michael Jordan’s slam dunk during a basketball game in 1985. The backboard shattered after Michael dunked the ball.
